Guaranty Earns Circle of Excellence Honors

Winnebago Industries has recently announced that Guaranty RV Centers has earned the coveted  "Circle of Excellence" award. "Customer service has never been more important, and its imperative for dealers to have knowledgeable sales personnel and qualified service technicians on staff for quality warranty and after-market service and support," said Winnebago Industries VP of Sales and Marketing, Roger Martin. "Circle of Excellence award winning dealerships do just that by providing customers with the total RV experience, and for that reason, they are deserving of this award." Guaranty RV Centers is a longstanding Itasca dealer.

Circle of Excellence scoring is determined by rating dealers in four categories:

*A Purchase and Delivery Satisfaction Study, which is direct customer feedback after the purchase of a motorhome,
*A Customer Satisfaction Study, which determines customer satisfaction six months after purchase,
*A Sales and Marketing Assessment that evaluates a dealer's sales, market share, stocking levels, participation in product training, Dealer Days, and the Winnebago Itasca Travelers Club (WIC); and
*A Service and Parts Assessment that evaluates a dealership's warranty/parts inventory, service training and certified technicians, and traveling customer care.

Dealerships earning Circle of Excellence status receive an award with three concentric circles, symbolizing the interconnected relationship between owner, dealer, and Winnebago Industries.

Guaranty Earns Award for Employee Participation in CASA Event

Guaranty was recently recognized for having "Highest Percentage Participation" in the CASA Champions for Children Run & Walk, and has been acknowledged with a commemorative plaque for their achievement. Employees Kay Young, Donna Ringsdorf, Charlene Chamberlain, Traci Garner, Yvonne Rouillard, and Becky Smith all participated in the event.

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA of Lane County was founded in 1994 to train community citizens as volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who have been abused or neglected and are under the protection of the Juvenile Court.

When children are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, they enter a complex and unfamiliar world of caseworkers, temporary homes, and attorneys. For more than half of these children, all of this happens before their sixth birthday. CASA volunteers are trained to advocate for these kids, working to ensure that decisions made are in the child's best interest. The CASA is often the only steady presence in the child's life during this tumultuous time.

Traveling the Pacific NW Coast- Affordable in an RV!

Looking for a cost-effective way to have a coastal vacation in the Pacific Northwest? Consider staying at one of the many coastal state parks with campgrounds! In Washington, Cape Disappointment State Park is an over 1,800-acre park on the Long Beach Peninsula. The park offers two miles of ocean beach, two lighthouses, and 60 full utility RV spaces. Full utility spaces are $28. Heading South into Oregon, RVers can find Ft. Stevens State Park. Ft. Stevens was an operational fort for 84 years, from the Civil War to the end of World War II. Summer months, visitors can tour a nearly century-old underground gun battery, view fortifications form the Spanish-American war, and tour a military museum. Ft. Stevens boasts 174 full hookups at $27. If you're looking for a few quiet days to enjoy the scenic Pacific, look no further than Beverly Beach, whose forest-like campground leads to miles of pristine beach. Full hookups, $26. Elsewhere on the central Oregon coast is Jesse Honeyman State Park, which leads to Oregon Dunes National Recreation area. Honeyman is just outside the charming coastal town of Florence, which features a quaint "Old Town". 47 full hook ups at $27. Much like Washington, Oregon takes great pride in their lovely historic lighthouses. As you wind your way down the Southern coast, don't miss the Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, which sits at the mouth of beautiful Winchester Bay. There are only 20 full hookups (maximum length of 45 feet), so make your reservations early! Full hookups, $24. A postcard-worthy northwest coast excursion is easy and affordable in an RV. Try out one of these State parks this summer- you'll be glad you did! For more information, visit parks.wa.gov or oregonstateparks.org.

New Runway Renovated at EUG

Eugene Airport's main runway has just undergone its first renovation since 1994, and the first take-off and landing on the new surface proved a great success. Shannon Nill, chair of Airport Advisory Committee and Dealer at Guaranty Chevrolet, was the first pilot to land on the refurbished main runway 34L in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Co-pilot was Guaranty Founder Herb Nill. The majority of the 9.5 million in funding for the runway renovation came from the Federal Aviation Administration, with a 5% match from the Eugene Airport. Approximately 180 employees with Wildish Construction worked round the clock to complete the project. "It's a great day," said Eugene Airport Director Tim Doll. "We're reopening our main runway with brand new pavement and some of the latest advances in runway lighting and temperature monitoring equipment." Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy was on hand for the rededication of the runway. The airport has recently seen a boost in passengers, and managers expect to see an increase in airport traffic throughout the summer months.
